At the end of 2012 DFC visited Autism Medical Center in Warren, NJ to deliver toys for the kids of the Center and their siblings. It was such an enjoyable event for everyone that it was decided to back again around Christmas in 2013 as well.
The day started with everyone gathering at the Short Hills Hilton for breakfast, then a short drive over to the Center around noon to set up the cars as the kids and their families started arriving. DFCers had a great time donating toys, showing off their cars to the kids and letting them jump in the seat to get a picture. Great way to end the year!
The annual Toys4Tots event organized by Martino Auto Concepts was a successful toy drive, actually so successful that they needed a huge tractor trailer to collect all the toys! Hundreds of cars gathered in downtown Glen Cove, NY on a cold December morning to donate toys to the US Marine Corps Reserve Toys For Tots program.
After the initial gathering the cars left Glen Cove for a quick drive over to Ferrari Long Island which hosted the group for lunch. A fantastic event that many DFC members participated in. We look forward to Toys4Tots 2014! Check out the aerial video to see the scope of the event and the great turnout of some really nice cars:
DFC member Sal invited his fellow club members to spend an afternoon at his house in upstate NY, use his private karting track, ride his quads around the property as well as delicious food and drinks. He even spelled DFC on the track and had an airplane fly overhead to get an aerial photo. Events like this and fantastic members like Sal are what makes DFC a special club with great people and friendships. Thanks, Sal, we look forward to coming back in 2014!
A picture perfect NorthEast fall day greeted BullFest|2013 Fall Edition participants as they gathered at the Montammy Country Club in Alpine, NJ for breakfast. Colorful Lamborghinis quickly filled up the parking lot with enthusiastic owners snapping photos and getting ready for a nice morning drive through the beautiful fall foliage.
The drive took the group of 40+ Lamborghinis north towards the twisty mountain roads near Catskill and ended at the Gilded Otter restaurant in New Paltz, NY. A memorable day best enjoyed through pictures.
Fall season in NY area is unpredictable. All week before Sunday, October 6th weather forecast showed a cloudy day, but that morning the organizers and participants of the Sunday Funday on the Runway tradition woke up to heavy rain.
Expectations for the turnout were low, but around 80 cars braved the weather and showed up at the runway in anticipation of a fun day. Due to the wet runway side by side runs were now allowed, but everyone still had a blast making a splash down the runway, hanging out with fellow gear heads, grabbing lunch and taking photos. Better luck in 2014!
